Beautiful video, excellent job to all those involved. Seeing those wonderful graphics just make me unable to resist the urge to go and get my new graphics card this weekend I'll let you know what I end up getting in the Graphics Card thread.

Arrow Ug!!!

Vidio is great, thanks for posting the find

Yet it brings back that GuildWars withdrawal

Thank God for optimism! About 2 weeks to be there again and another 9 days before GuildWars is something I just double click and logon to without that horrid message about my account but no event---Yay!!!!

Yep it's for real. It came at the end of the March Beta. It ended with Gwen coming out of no where and killing everyone...hehe

I'll have you know that, despite being in several of the shoots involved in making this .. I don't make an appearance! Not even once! My agent is getting fired.
hehe, I got in the video twice! I'm the N/W girl wearing purple and black armor with purple hair, a purple axe (of DOOM!!), and wearing a cape with the goblet on it (first time its red, second time its blue). Clearly she was the sexiest character in the video...and in the game

I also loved the video, very well done.

Yup, it's real. Lion's Arch, district 1, about a half hour before the end, Gaile Gray asked if we all knew how to follow, then just started running around Lion's Arch. Pretty cool effect, seeing everyone line up so nicely (as long as they're using the computer controlled follow rather than simply watching Gaile and running). That line extends around the hill, it was too long to get it all in one shot. Here's my other favorite, which alas doesn't show off the line as well (bad angle to really see how long it is), but features Gaile more prominently:

Hey,

Nice quality, nice shots...but hey there is no way Arenanet are gonna make better gameplay movies than the players. Some higher quality shots, maybe - but not the punch and the vibe we get from the players own videos.

Soup Ermans dance video and Knights of Nothing to mention a few are creating much more intersting and fun to watch vidoes. I watch Soups Video now and then just to get my adrenaline pumping. I also still have EvE's video they made after WPE and I watch that one to get excited about the game again.

I get a whole lot more exited about the fan videos made than the official movies. But, Arenanet can only do so much.

Hire Soup to do your next one!

Wow, nice to see someone's looking forward to seeing it and also it being you Gaile warms my heart

The movie is ready but hosting is always a problem since it's quite big ~115mb (640*480, 30fps, 6m 33s) My intention wasn't really to make a movie of the BWE ending only so approximately half the movie is of some arena PvP action The movie is already uploaded but I'm still waiting for it to be put up, so stay tuned

Finally got it hosted! You just need to enter the passcode and click "go get it"

Download movie here

ps. you also need DIVX to be able to watch it

EDIT/
Maybe I didn't make myself clear about the link

The video was pixelated, had signs of the H.263 blocking, and was 60mb for only 2 and a half minutes. Decent video, but I like mine a whole lot more.

What do you mean 60mb for 2,5minutes. Actually it's ~17,7mb/m

how would you have encoded it then?I just used single pass 2400 bitrate, should I have switched the focus a bit to use more space on fast motion?

Lemme guess, Xvid never played around with that :-/

Critical feedback is always good, no way to better yourself otherwise

EDIT/
you can't compare the size of your movie directly to mine because you only used 15fps when I used 30... (yes I know the real frame rate is not 30 in the end)

All the negative criticism; first Firefox bashing, now this.

The video was not at all pixelated, showed no signs of H.263 blocking, and was about 120MB for 6 minutes and 33 seconds. One assumes you're talking about an entirely different video.

Oh, wait, you're talking about ArenaNet's video, aren't you? Since your comment immediately follows several posts discussing Excel's video, you could have been a bit more specific than "the video".

Uh, this thread is barely a week old, and has had someone post in it nearly every day it's been up. Continuing an ongoing discussion is not "bringing back old threads".

BTW, are you a moderator for this forum, or are you just impersonating a moderator?
